I have been working as a photographer since 1981. I was attracted
to photography by the desire to share with others the beautiful shapes,
textures and lighting that I found around me. My feeling is, that if
people can see how wonderful the world can be, that they may try to
take a little better care of her.
I have been shooting negatives with a medium format Rolleiflex SL66
camera equiped with fine Zeiss lenses. I enlarge the images myself
in the darkroom, then my wife and I mount, mat and frame the finished
photographs. We have been selling our photographs at art fairs and
galleries since 1984.
A very nice option for a piece of art work to hang in a large space
is one of our triptychs. These consist of a series of three photographs
aligned side by side giving a panoramic landscape view. We also have
a few images made up of 4 or 5 separate photographs. Most of the triptychs
are photographed with a medium format Rolleiflex SL66 camera mounted
on a tripod. The camera is panned across the scene producing a series
of three or more photographs. The photographs are printed by Paul in
the darkroom so that the image flows from one frame to the next. These
are then matted and framed in separate frames. This process allows
you to have a large photograph with the feeling of a wide vista without
the added expense of working with oversized materials. The photographs
are generally hung side by side with a small space between the frames
giving them the feeling of looking out a window. Many can also be successfully
be hung around a corner, which increases the feeling of depth. We hope
you will consider our work for your decorating needs.
